Airspan Networks Inc. (NASDAQ: AIRN), a leading worldwide provider of WiMAX
broadband wireless access networks, announced today that LeRu Telecom of
Missouri, has chosen Airspan to supply HiperMAX base stations and related CPEs
in the 3.65 GHz band in the U.S. Airspan will supply its WiMAX equipment through
its U.S. channel partner, Stutler Technologies. This announcement follows the
recent FCC approval for Airspans HiperMAX base station in the 3.65GHz band in
the United States, the first MIMOenabled WiMAX solution to receive such
certification.
LeRu Telecom offers telephone services and various Internetrelated services as
well as Digital Video Service in the rural Missouri region. LeRu Telecom will
use Airspans 3.65GHz WiMAX solution to provide these services to its wireless
customer base.
