China Finance Online Co. said Friday it will partner with China Telecom, a
wireline telecommunications and broadband services company, to provide financial
information services to Chinas broadband users through a new Web channel.
The two companies will create a financial channel on China Telecoms Vnet Web
site. China Financial, an online financial data provider, will be responsible
for the JRJCVnet Finance channels financial content and analytical products.
China Telecom will distribute the products, with both companies splitting
revenue.
China Finance Chief Executive Zhiwei Zhao said in a statement that the
partnership will boost its subscriber base and increase brand awareness. Lisheng
Ye, deputy director of China Telecoms Internet and valueadded business
division, added that the agreement will help enhance its Web services.
