America’s leading wireless carrier, AT&T, has teamed up with 1800Flowers.com,
allowing subscribers to order flowers from their mobile phones in the two weeks
leading up to Valentines Day.
Customers can now place flower orders through AT&T’s Media Net wireless web
service, or send free animated floral bouquets to friends and loved ones using
the carrier’s mobile multimedia store. Users also have the option to enter a
sweepstakes for a change to win one of 100 $50 1800Flowers.com gift cards.
The marketing agreement is the first of its kind with a mobile advertiser,
according to AT&T.
