U.S.based CDMA wireless operator, Sprint Nextel, has introduced the Samsung
Ace, a dualmode CDMA/CSM smartphone designed to appeal to international roaming
customers.
The Samsung Ace is less than half an inch thick and weighs just four ounces. It
comes loaded with a Windows Mobile operating system, and supports up to 2GB
MicroSD cards for storing music, video, and multimedia files. In terms of mobile
data connectivity, the device is fully compatible with Sprint’s 3G networks in
the U.S., and also works on GPRS networks in other countries worldwide.
“Mobile professionals and consumers alike need to stay connected wherever they
are,” said Sprint’s vice president of customer equipment, Danny Bowman. “The
Samsung Ace combined with the benefits of SprintSpeed, competitive rates and
expansive coverage through multiple technologies makes it one of the strongest
Windows Mobile devices on the market today, a clear value for customers in the
U.S. and just about anywhere else.”
