The Department of Defense announced today that any American can now help troops
in contingency Growth in Spanish broadband subscriptions increased to 122,834
new connections in January 2008, up 20% from a year earlier, according to
Spain’s telecom watchdog, CMT.
This bring’s Spain’s broadband penetration rate to 18 subscriptions per 100
inhabitants, or approximately 40% of Spanish households, mostly thanks to high
infrastructure investment by small ISPs, CMT said.
Incumbent telecom provider, Telefonica, signed up 61,134 highspeed internet
customers in the first month of 2008, bringing its total to 4.6 million
subscribers, or 57% of the national total.
