Internet giant, Yahoo, has reached a deal to become the default search engine on new mobile devices from T-Mobile USA.
Yahoo said that it will share ad revenue with T-Mobile, but did not give financial specifics of the deal, which is aimed primarily at users of lower-end mobile phones. Yahoo has already replaced Google as T-Mobile International’s mobile search partner in a number of European markets.
The deal with Yahoo will not affect T-Mobile’s contract to sell the G1 smartphone, which comes equipped with Google’s Android operating system, and of course, Google Search functionality.
