MILAN, Nov. 7, 2007 (Thomson Financial delivered by Newstex) Telecom
Italia SpAs controlling shareholders have failed to reach an agreement on the
appointment of a new management team, Radiocor reported, without citing sources.
The respective chairmen of Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (OOTC:IITSF) and Mediobanca SpA
met for lunch today to discuss the management issue at Telecom Italia but were
unable to reach agreement, Radiocor said.
Intesa Sanpaolo and Mediobanca are shareholders of Telco, which has a
controlling 23.6 pct stake in Telecom Italia.
Other Telco shareholders are Telefonica SA (NYSE:TEF) (OOTC:TEFOF) ,
Assicurazioni Generali SpA and the Benetton familys Sintonia.
